Michael Lawton is our Production Engineer responsible for setting up processes to allow the Warmstone to be produced quickly, safely, and to a high-quality. He began his career working on bespoke office furniture, going on to manufacture steel filing cabinets and pedestals under Bisley. In 2014 he joined innovative British engineering company Semmco, which designs and manufactures equipment for the rail and aviation sectors and in 2018 was offered the opportunity to help establish Semmco’s operations in Texas. As production manager for the US division, he successfully set up a new manufacturing facility. His role blended training, co-ordination, reporting and hands-on work.
Michael joined Caldera after returning to the UK and is passionate about making things with his hands. He loves working for a business that has an inspiring mission to decarbonize heating. Michael enjoys cooking and hiking with his family.
