The Caldera Storage Boiler has been named a finalist in the EnerGaïa 2026 Innovation Awards (Trophées de l'innovation) in the International category. It is one of three finalists in that category, and one of 12 innovations shortlisted across four categories at this year's forum, the 20th edition of EnerGaïa, held at the Parc des Expositions in Montpellier on 9 and 10 December.
Nominees pitch to the jury on 10 December, and the winners are announced at a prize-giving on the show floor.
What the jury will see
The Storage Boiler is an electric boiler with integrated thermal storage and intelligent controls. It charges when electricity is cheapest, holds the heat in a vacuum-insulated Heat Cell, and raises saturated steam at up to 16 barg (204 °C) when your process needs it. Each Heat Cell stores 5 MWh, and round-trip efficiency is 94%.
For many sites, that means electrifying steam without sizing the grid connection for the steam peak. The system is modular, and runs on its own or alongside existing gas boilers or heat pumps.
Meet us in Montpellie
Find us at Hall B1, aisle D, stand D30. Our team on the stand includes French speakers, so bring your steam and tariff questions in either language.
If you want to know how a Storage Boiler would perform at your site, we model it hour by hour across a full year (8,760 hours), using real electricity prices and your consumption data.
