Nick Annejohn
Senior Mechanical Engineer
Nick is a Canadian engineer passionate about decarbonising energy systems. After starting his career in aerospace design, followed by a stint in international humanitarian logistics, he spent the better part of a decade designing and implementing thermal energy efficiency projects for hospitals, universities and industry. Always driven towards innovative solutions, Nick has long been fascinated by thermal energy storage, and during the pandemic he finally went back to school to complete a MSc on the topic at Montréal’s McGill University. Nick brings his experience developing solutions for industrial heat users to Caldera’s engineering team. He is currently focused on the detailed engineering of interfaces between the Caldera Heat Battery and customers’ steam networks. As deliveries ramp up, he will also have a role developing and integrating solutions at customers’ sites. In his free time, Nick enjoys travelling, running, hiking, climbing, and cross-country skiing, though he suspects he will not do as much of the latter on the Solent. He can also often be found reading about developments in the global energy transition.
